What year are you and what is your major?
“I’m a sophomore, and I’m currently majoring in Biochemistry, but strongly considering a French double major.”
What do you like to do in your spare time?
“I love making different fruit smoothies, doing Blogilates, trying new recipes, watching foreign films and reading for leisure! One of my favorite books that I’ve recently read is The Cuckoo’s Calling by JK Rowling.”
Tell me 3 interesting facts about yourself.
“1) In middle school, I placed in a lip sync competition with my friends for our rendition of “Greased Lightning” from Grease. 2) I get really scared when birds fly near me.. 3) I am OBSESSED with fruit. Juicing, making smoothies or just eating them raw are among my favorite things to do!”
What are your main goals in life?
“Ideally, I would love to get into medical school and maybe become a dermatologist or radiologist. However, even with a stable career and family, I really want to be a reliable, warm-hearted person who knows how to persevere.”
What is your favorite element on the periodic table and why?
“Helium! It’s one of the lightest elements on the periodic table, and it is satisfied with its filled valence shell. (I also love balloons). Likewise, I feel fulfilled during my time here at UT through my studies and my group of friends. As an HSS transfer, hopefully this level of satisfaction will ever grow!”
What were you like when you were a child? What were you passionate about?
“As a child, I was very shy but creative! I loved art, drawing and writing really silly stories. My cousins and I would put on performances for my family acting out these outrageous stories, and it was a lot of fun. Even though I never really developed the artist in me, I have continued to maintain my love for the written word by reading lots of books for leisure.”
You have one place to go to for the rest of your life and you can only bring one thing. Where do you go and what do you bring?
“If I could go anywhere for the rest of my life, I would choose Hawaii. I love the ocean, and I find it incredibly cathartic to spend time surrounded by water and sea life. I would bring with me a private jet, so I could go home whenever I want to. Even though I love the ocean, I don’t think I could stand being any where without any of my family or friends!”
